Founded on November 11, 1993 as Megapode Airlines Ltd., TajAir is registered with the Directorate General of Civil Aviation, India as a non-scheduled operator.
Till date, TajAir's Falcon 2000 fleet has logged over 1 million nautical miles (over 2 million kms.). In 2004-05, TajAir welcomed 2,903 distinguished passengers on board and flew nearly half a million nautical miles (just under 1 million kms).
TajAir is the preferred choice for its worldwide coverage, highly personalized experience and luxury on board. In a relatively short span of time, TajAir has become India's leading executive jet service in its category.

from the Falcon 2000, does TajAir fly any other aircraft? |
Currently, TajAir has a fleet of Falcon 2000 aircraft. Our
fleet is just over 7 years old, making it the youngest fleet
in India.
The Falcon 2000 flies at a optimum speed of 0.8 mach and is
reputed to be the finest executive jet for its ability to
operate on short, high and hot runaways, climb quickly to
a high initial cruise altitude and fly an intercontinental

| Does TajAir fly to international destinations? |
TajAir flies all over the world.
Our Falcon 2000 aircraft can fly to any destination in India and abroad within a radius of five and a half flying hours. The aircraft can fly longer distances.with refueling stops.

service available round the clock? |
Your clients can fly at 4 hours notice to eleven destinations within India where airports operate round the clock. For other destinations within India, travel is subject to airport formalities and landing clearances.
For international destinations, at least 3 working days notice is required to execute a flight itinerary - primarily due to permissions from the local regulatory authorities in India. It is also subject to receiving 'over flying', landing clearances and visa for crew members (as per requirement of the specific country).

information do I need to furnish to book an aircraft
on behalf of my clients? |
To book, you need to furnish the names of all passengers along
with the passport details, the travel itinerary, their contact
numbers, meal preference and the proposed mode of payment.

clients insured when they fly TajAir? |
Yes, passengers are insured with ICICI Lombard for both passenger
as well as baggage liability. ICICI Lombard's reinsurance
program is rated 'A' and above by S&P.
The insurance cover can be enhanced by your clients for the required flight dates on payment of additional premium.

facilities are available on the ground? |
In Mumbai, TajAir manages the passenger and baggage screening area from an exclusive entrance for all non-scheduled and private operators. So you can arrive just 15 minutes before departure for flights within India. Before boarding your aircraft, you can relax at our exclusive airport lounge.
We personally supervise your security, customs and immigration clearances, wherever and whenever required. Your bags are stowed in the aircraft and retrieved by us, so you do not waste time at the baggage carrousel.
We liaise directly with multiple agencies to ensure that you can fly at the earliest. For instance, if your destination is located close to a defense airfield in India, TajAir facilitates approval for non-Indian passengers within 7 working days as against 30 days for a foreign registered aircraft with a foreign crew.
Should your clients need a rent-a-car service, we can arrange it at Taj Hotel destinations.

TajAir handle landing permissions? |
TajAir is a registered executive jet service and liaises
directly with multiple agencies to ensure that your clients
can fly as early as possible.
For instance, if the proposed destination is located close
to a defense airfield in India, TajAir facilitates approval
for non-Indian passengers within 7 working days as against
30 days for a foreign registered aircraft with a foreign crew.

clients specify their meal preference? |
Yes, you can customize cuisine according to your clients'
dietary needs. We serve Special, Vegetarian, Religious, Child
and Infant meals. We offer 4 international cuisine options
over a three-course meal.

clients access the internet on board TajAir? |
Currently, TajAir does not offer Internet connectivity. However,
your clients can make long-distance calls on a satellite phone
or send a message through the facsimile. These services are
charged as per usage and applicable tariffs.^
